Here are our twelve top tips for looking after yourself before, during and after a singles night. Looking for love is a brave and beautiful thing to do, but it’s also very important that you look after yourself through that process. You can find the details of upcoming events HERE but please do get in touch if you have any questions or concerns beforehand.

Before the event

  • Check in with yourself beforehand and make sure this is something YOU want to do and are excited for
  • You may want to chat to a friend or journal before making the decision
  • Make sure you feel supported before going – tell someone you love and who is going to really build your confidence
  • Get in touch beforehand if you’re nervous about attending; we’ll answer any questions and make adjustments as far as we’re able to make is a safe space for you.
Burton Road Event - 10.11.2022

During the event

  • You can always come to events a bit early to meet the host and get settled into the venue
  • On the day of the event, wear something comfortable that you feel relaxed in and that shows off who YOU are
  • Pace yourself when it comes to drinks and make sure you have lots of water to stay hydrated
  • Check in with our host, Jo, if you’re feeling anxious at any point – she’s there to look after you!

After the event

  • Do something nice for yourself afterwards – have a long shower/ bath, watch your favourite film, meditate… Whatever helps you centre yourself!
  • Check in with a friend or family member afterwards to let them know you’re home safe
  • Tap into your support network so you can talk things through afterwards and process all the new people you met
  • Be SUPER proud of yourself for coming along… It takes courage to look for love and it’s an amazing thing to do!
