I’m very excited to be launching a new series of events this year to celebrate our wonderful independent restaurants, cafes and delis. Having established the networking events for businesses – it was definitely the turn of the locals and what better than a series of supper clubs to bring people together?

The first event was at FOLK on the 9^th of February – a massive thank you to everyone who came along to the launch. A special shout out to Michael, their Head Chef, who curated a wonderful sharing menu for the evening and their manager, Andy, who allowed us to use their fabulous space. A great time was had by all and one talented local even drew a picture of the evening, which you can see HERE.

The concept behind the supper clubs is to bring people together to try new food and see inside as many local spaces as possible. You will have the opportunity to meet the managers of the spaces, as well as the chefs themselves, so that you get to know the faces behind the food. We’re very lucky to be part of such an independent and entrepreneurial community and it’s important to take time to celebrate that.

Guests are encouraged to come along to the supper club by themselves, although there is no obligation to do so. The open seating style and sharing menus are all designed to enable you to get to know other locals and enjoy interesting conversations over some good food.

Our next Supper Club is at Santé on the 9^th March and you can see all the event details HERE. As the newest restaurant to open on Burton Road, this is a particularly exciting space to explore. Their fabulous small plates and cocktails have a feeling of escapism – as if you’ve just stepped into Greece (something we surely all crave during a British winter!)
