Didsbury Singers, is a new choir launching October 23rd for anyone who lives to sing. Led by award winning conductor Hannah Brine, the choir is initially launching on Wednesday lunch times (evening choir to follow in ‘25) – from 12.30-1.30pm at Emmanuel church hall, Didsbury.
Hannah has founded similar choirs in the High Peak, London & Leicester and her choirs have performed at events including the BBC Proms, Royal Variety Show and Olivier Awards.
Hannah says “I love singing and sharing my passion with others. This choir is initially a daytime choir, to offer people to break up their week, and is for anyone including freelancers who need a break from their desk, Mums, retired people and anyone else with a non 9-5 schedule. Life is set up for 9-5ers so this is a chance for people with less traditional schedules to come along.
I am a trained singing teacher so can help people improve their voices with vocal exercises. There are no auditions as we believe everyone can ‘hold a tune’ and sound lovely all together.
“The choir will sing a range of styles, though this term there will be a wintery/ seasonal focus, with 2 requests for performances already in the diary!”
