Don’t ask for theirs – offer them yours; it softens the request as the ball is then in their court and they can choose to follow up with you the next day (or later that evening if you really made an impression!)

BUT, how do you get that request in!? Here’s a few suggestions…

Sorry I’ve got to move now (I’ll swap you all round through the evening!) here’s my number so we can keep chatting later…

Do you know what, you’re great! I’ve really enjoyed meeting you. May I give you my number as I’d love to see you again? (I know it feels like a lot but honestly this will make their night!)

Oh I also like to x Here’s my number, maybe we could do that together sometime…

I’d love to see you again, somewhere where we can chat a little more. May I give you my number and then you can message if you’d like to?

MOST IMPORTANTLY, this isn’t gendered!!! Men are often a little apprehensive about making the first move now, so if you’re a woman then please do make the first move…
