Description
We can’t wait to welcome you to our inaugural women’s health panel where we will hear from three doctors about how to look after your body and mind.
This event will cover a wide range of topics – many of which will relate to you personally, but others may also be impacting your friends, family and colleagues.
Our hope in putting on this event is, firstly, to give women the knowledge you need to feel empowered in your body and, secondly, so we can all offer better support to the women around us – whatever stage they may be at.
This is the structure of how the event will flow and you can find some more information about the speakers underneath:
- 10.30am: Dr Rachael Chrystal speech (mini Q+A)
- 11.00am: Morning break
- 11.15am: Dr Emily Boardman speech (mini Q+A)
- 11.45am: Morning snack
- 12.00pm: Dr Anatalia Moore speech (mini Q+A)
- 12.30pm: Questions for panellists (can be submitted anonymously!)
- 1.00pm: Lunch and social (lunch is not included in the cost of the ticket.)
Rachael is a GP and peri/menopause specialist; as well as an experienced coach specialising in wellbeing and burnout. She will explain what you need to know about the female hormone journey – from puberty through to post-menopause – and show you how you can support your hormones from your late 30’s and beyond – so you can thrive through perimenopause. Whilst this is something we will all experience at some stage, I also think it’s invaluable to know how to support the women in our life who are experiencing perimenopause now.
Emily is a Doctor who specialises in sexual health medicine and she will be speaking about why our sexual health is important. She is passionate about improving sexual health education for people of all ages, breaking down stigma and empowering women to promote their sexual health and wellbeing. She will also be looking at how social media can help (and hinder) this knowledge, and aims to open up conversations for us on the day.
Anatalia is a GP and Level 7 Aesthetics Doctor – named the Aesthetic Practitioner of the Year 2024 GHP. She will be speaking about how pregnancy, motherhood and beyond affects us. Looking beyond the traditional effects on the body and, more holistically, in terms of energy, sleep, confidence, prioritising time away… It’s so important to look at how we can look after ourselves as mothers or / and be better friends to those who are.
This venue is completely accessible and the food will be vegan but if you do need anything to ensure you’re completely comfortable in the space then please get in touch beforehand at @burton_road or burton.road.network@gmail.com
